Pray for your Husband

It all began with one email--it now begins with one blog...
Several years ago my husband started sending emails to his buddies entitled "pray for your wife." Today several hundred men receive an email every week with a short devotional and a prayer to claim over their wives. I have seen amazing growth in myself as a result of my husband praying for me, and I see dramatic change in my husband when I in turn pray for him.
Why is it then that such a simple thing as talking to God about your best friend can seem arduous...like a chore? Because the enemy wants it that way. We are not going to stand for it. Ladies, it is our turn to rise up and make a difference in this generation with every day we have been gifted on this earth. Sometimes it can seem like prayer is not enough but in reality it is everything. When we pray to God, we are calling upon Him to move heaven and earth to hear our cries over our husbands to raise up real men who are strong, faithful, courageous, hard workers who contend for THE TRUTH and aren't satisfied with make believe and video games. You want a real man? Then stop talking at him and instead get on your knees every day and petition Your Creator to mold Your husband to the man He has created him to be. God cares. God wants to hear from us. God listens. So when you pray approach the throne of grace with confidence knowing that in His perfect time, God will work in your husband in ways you could not have dreamed possible.
One last reiteration. It is not your responsibility to change your husband. It is your responsibility to give God consistent opportunity to change YOU. That is only accomplished by being in the Word and talking to Him every single day. It is worth it.
What are you waiting for? If this sounds good to you, then subscribe to my blog and I will send out a weekly update on something new to pray over your husband that week.
Love you girls!

Romans 8:31b, 34b
If God is for us, who is against us? ...Christ Jesus, who is at the right hand of God, intercedes for us.

PRAY FOR YOUR HUSBAND:
May my husband be well thought of, a pattern of good deeds and works. May there be no grounds for accusations but rather good reputation with him amongst believers and non-believers. May he be investigated and proved above reproach.
